| Rainbow Serpent's Rain Bow Introduction
An ancient ceremonial weapon passed down by the Masters of the Night-Wind. This dark bow is forever wreathed in an unshakable chill.
At max level, it provides 510 Base Attack and a secondary stat of 45.9% Energy Recharge. Judging solely by these two attributes, the weapon focuses more on Energy Recharge cycling.
ATK is increased by 28% / 35% / 42% / 49% / 56% for 8s after the equipping character's attacks hit an opponent while the equipping character is off-field. Specifically, the Refinement Rank 1 effect provides a 28% Attack bonus, which doubles to 56% at Refinement Rank 5.

| Recommended Characters
Because the trigger condition is that the wielder is off-field and the effect lasts for 8 seconds after hitting an opponent, we can immediately identify the characters suitable for it: Venti, Jahoda, Collei, Faruzan, and Ororon.
All five of these characters require Energy Recharge to consistently use their Elemental Bursts. They can all deal off-field damage with their skills, and all of their attack modules can benefit from the ATK bonus provided by Rainbow Serpent's Rain Bow.
| Jahoda
The most perfect match is undoubtedly the new 4-star character, Jahoda, who will be implemented in Version 6.2. She combines Resistance Reduction, Elemental Application, Off-field Damage, and Team Healing, offering extremely rich utility with skill effects that are both unique and practical. The Rainbow Serpent's Rain Bow can effectively be treated as her signature weapon.
| Ororon
However, there is another character who is a perfect fit for it: Ororon. This is because this weapon, like the Calamity of Eshu, also comes from the Masters of the Night-Wind.
Furthermore, not only do the stats align well, but the color scheme and composition perfectly match Ororon.

Ororon also plays an important role in the Pyro God Overload team. If your artifacts already provide sufficient Energy Recharge, you might consider trying this weapon on him.

| Unrecommended Characters and Reasons
As for the other characters, the reasons they are not recommended are as follows:
Output Characters
For output characters, Energy Recharge is not a key stat. Using the Rainbow Serpent's Rain Bow leads to ER "stat-bloat" significantly lowering their damage output: Chasca, Tighnari, Lyney, and Yoimiya.
Ganyu can certainly use this weapon if you focus on an off-field Burst support build. However, considering the overall situation, Favonius Sword is a more suitable choice as it guarantees more flexibility and supports the entire team's Energy circulation.
Stat-Scaling Conflicts
Sigewinne is a HP-scaling character and doesn't benefit from ATK buffs.
Yelan requires a certain amount of Energy Recharge, but she is also a HP-scaling character, making the Rainbow Serpent's Rain Bow unsuitable.
Diona is the same.
Gorou is a DEF-scaling character and doesn't benefit from ATK buffs.
Low Synergy Characters
Amber scales with ATK and requires Crit Rate and other damage bonuses. Her Burst also only requires 40 Energy, meaning she doesn't need the Rainbow Serpent's Rain Bow high 45.9% Energy Recharge.
Fischl scales with ATK but does not require high Energy Recharge, meaning there is no gain from the ER sub-stat.
Sethos requires some Energy Recharge, but he benefits more significantly from Elemental Mastery buffs, making the overall return too low.
Conflict with Playstyle
Tartaglia needs to stay on-field to deal damage, which conflicts with the Rainbow Serpent's Rain Bow's requirement for the character to be off-field. Even if the effect is triggered off-field via riptide, the weapon's overall damage output would be significantly inferior to other weapons, making it not recommended.
| Conclusion
To sum up, for the purpose of maximizing the weapon's potential, we most highly recommend Jahoda.
Following her, Venti, Collei, Faruzan, and Ororon. can also make use of it. However, from an aesthetic standpoint, Ororon remains an excellent choice.
