| Genshin Xilonen Profile
A blacksmith of the Nanatzcayan, she is especially skilled at finding a good balance between the heavy responsibilities of her job and living well.
Xilonen wears long, messy waves of pale blonde hair that fade to orange at the ends with a pair of feline ears and a tail that resemble both an ocelot and a jaguar. She has bright green eyes with cat-like pupils.

Xilonen is positioned as a support character who integrates both Resistance Shred and DMG Buffs. Regarding her core RES Shred mechanism, at C0, Xilonen simply requires Hydro, Pyro, Electro, or Cryo characters in the team. After activating her Elemental Skill, performing two Normal Attacks will trigger a 36% RES Shred (at Level 10, C0) against enemies, based on up to two element types present in the party.
| C0 Xilonen does not fit very well into Mono-Geo teams.
Some Travelers may ask: "I thought Xilonen could support Geo characters? Why are people saying she can't now?" It is true that Xilonen can support a Geo DPS; however, the catch is that to effectively support a Mono-Geo team, she needs to unlock C2 . Only then can she reliably reduce enemies' Geo RES through her "Source Samples" upon activating her Elemental Skill. Therefore, anyone planning to run Xilonen in a Mono-Geo team should definitely aim for C2.

| Artifact Set Effect Trigger Order
As a Natlan character, Xilonen’s best-in-slot artifact set is Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City. When the wearer triggers a corresponding elemental reaction, it provides teammates with up to a 36% Elemental DMG Bonus (at 4-piece max) for the elements involved.

🤔While "triggering a reaction to get a buff" sounds simple, many Travelers find that in actual combat, their Main DPS isn't receiving the set's bonus at all.
Take the "Natlan Battleship" team as an example: If you start by using Citlali to apply Cryo and then swap to Xilonen to trigger a Cryo-Crystallize reaction, you will only buff Cryo and Geo DMG. In this scenario, the Mavuika receives zero DMG bonus.

To do it correctly, you have two options:
Activate Mavuika’s Elemental Skill (E) first to apply Pyro before swapping to Xilonen to trigger the reaction.
Start with Bennett’s EQ to apply Pyro, swap to Xilonen to trigger the reaction, then use Citlali’s EQ to apply Cryo, and finally bring out Mavuika to trigger Melt. This ensures you get the full buffs from both Xilonen’s kit and the artifact set.
This is a common pitfall for Travelers to avoid. The key is to watch the elemental aura on the enemy: make sure Hydro, Pyro, Electro, or Cryo is applied first, and then follow up with Xilonen’s Skill. If you mess up the sequence, you will miss out on the Artifact set's massive DMG bonus!

| No Need to Over-Farm For Artifacts
I often see many Travelers frantically farming artifacts for Xilonen, but it’s actually not necessary.
Xilonen is a very unique character. The scaling of her core mechanism depends entirely on her Talent Level. In other words, if you want to max out her RES Shred, just blindly level up her Elemental Skill to Level 10 and you're done. As for artifacts, you can pretty much equip any pieces from the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City.
More importantly, Xilonen is a character whose utility is Skill-dependent. Her Elemental Burst only provides Geo DMG and healing, so you don't really need to obsess over her stat screen.
At C0 or low constellations, you don't even need to worry about the main stats—anything works as long as it's the Hero's Scroll set. However, if you want to boost her healing slightly, just go with DEF / DEF / DEF or ER / DEF / DEF and call it a day! There's no need to over-farm. You could say that Xilonen is a "jack-of-all-trades" support with an incredibly low investment cost.

| Constellations or Signature Weapon For Xilonen?
When discussing builds, we have to address the issue of Xilonen’s signature weapon. Many Travelers wonder if they should pull for it. To be honest, it’s not necessary at all; you can simply use any weapon with DEF or Energy Recharge substats.
Xilonen’s primary role is providing RES Shred and DMG Buffs. Since she leaves the field after just two kicks, there is no need to stack her stats. Her signature weapon, "Peak Patrol Song," does have useful Refinement 1 effects, but we still recommend saving your pulls for her Constellations—specifically C2, which is much more valuable than the weapon.
Therefore, my pull recommendations for Xilonen are: For F2P or low-spenders, aim for C0, C2, or C3, and skip the weapon.
C3 is great because it boosts her Elemental Skill to Level 13, increasing the RES Shred from 36% (at Level 10) to 45%.
As for the weapon, it's completely skippable at low constellations because standard teams aren't exactly hurting for that small extra bit of Elemental DMG bonus. It’s not worth wasting the cost of a pity for such a marginal gain. Of course, C6 or C6R5 represents her "Ultimate" form.

However, personally, I don’t think it’s necessary to go that far. A support should focus on supporting. You are better off investing in your Main DPS's constellations to raise your damage ceiling for future high-pressure combat environments. Of course, this analysis is purely from a cost-performance perspective; whales can feel free to ignore this.
| Conclusion
Xilonen is a phenomenal support who offering F2P players a top-tier damage ceiling with incredibly low resource costs. As a core buffer in the Natlan era, her true strength lies not in expensive signature weapons or perfect stats, but in her elegant skill-based mechanics and universal adaptability—provided you master the correct elemental rotation to trigger her buffs. Investing in Xilonen is more than just adding a support; it is a strategic, cost-effective move to future-proof your account and elevate your team's combat potential to a whole new level with minimal effort.
