Wuthering Waves 2.8 is on the way! This update introduces a stacked banner lineup, featuring new character Chisa and rerun Phoebe in the first phase, followed by Phrolova and Cantarella in the second phase.

▍Wuwa 2.8 Chisa

Role & Mechanism

Chisa serves as an Havoc-support hybrid whose primary damage source comes from her Resonance Liberation. She operates in two distinct attack modes:

• Scissor Form – triggered by tapping Normal Attack

• Chainsaw Form – triggered by holding Normal Attack

During the fourth hit in her combo, Chisa can restore her own HP.

When activating Resonance Liberation, she grants team-wide healing, increases Havoc damage, enhances healing effects, and boosts the damage of her Chainsaw Form. In addition to these buffs, Chisa also provides excellent crowd-control and grouping capabilities.

Chisa performs best in Abnormal Status teams, where she offers DEF reduction, damage Havoc increased Abnormality layers, healing, and shielding, while also contributing respectable personal damage. In non-Abnormal teams, she can be played as a DEF-shred support with strong healing utility.

Pull Recommendation

If you’re an Negative Status team player—especially one who owns Cartethyia and Ciaccona (Aero Erosion) or Phoebe and Zani (Spectro Frazzle)—then Chisa should be one of your top pull priorities. She can replace Rover: Aero and Shorekeeper in your lineup, offering a more complete set of support utilities.

For new players, Chisa also delivers excellent value. She works well as a universal healer, making her a solid and reliable unit to pull.

With the upcoming Version 3.0 adjustments to the Negative Status system, Chisa is expected to shine even more. She’s definitely a character with strong potential and a promising future.

▍Wuwa 2.8 Phoebe

Role & Mechanism

Phoebe is a dual-form Diffraction-attribute Rectifier who currently serves as a sub-DPS and support in Spectro Frazzle teams. Her two forms are Absolution Status and Confession Status. Absolution Status focuses more on deal greater damage, while Confession Status excels at applying Spectro Frazzle.Pheobe can apply the Spectro Frazzle to enemies, which deals continuous damage based on the number of Spectro Frazzle. By using her Resonance Skill, she switches into her support form to assist Zani in stacking Spectro Frazzle for burst damage while also contributing a modest amount of personal output.

She is the core unit of Spectro Frazzle teams, offering strong performance with simple and easy-to-use mechanics.

Pull Recommendation

If your team includes Zani, pulling Phoebe is the optimal choice. Together, they can form a powerful Spectro Frazzle Team capable of delivering top-tier performance.

However, if you don’t have Zani and are considering using Phoebe as a main DPS, her pull cost becomes significantly less efficient—especially since her support form is currently her strongest role in the meta. In this case, she is not recommended.

▍Wuwa 2.8 Phrolova

Role & Mechanism

Phrolova is a Havoc Rectifier main DPS, with her core damage coming from Resonance Skill damage and Echo Skill damage. Her core playstyle revolves around using off-field Echo summons to perform coordinated attacks while she builds Special Energy in the background, ultimately unleashing a powerful Resonance Liberation.Her Resonance Liberation mechanics are quite unique: she generates Special Energy by chaining her third Normal Attack, Resonance Skill, and either Enhanced Normal Attacks or Enhanced Resonance Skills. After reaching 6 stacks of Special Energy, performing an Enhanced Heavy Attack will unlock her Resonance Liberation.

During Resonance Liberation, Phrolova’s companion Hecate changes its attack pattern based on the Special Energy readings. While Liberation is active, whenever the on-field character casts an Echo Skill, Hecate will automatically perform a powerful coordinated attack, significantly increasing total damage output.

Pull Recommendation

Phrolova performs exceptionally well both in open-world exploration and in the Whimpering Wastes, making her a highly reliable unit across all content. Whether you're a new player or a veteran, Phrolova is a strongly recommended pull.

▍Wuwa 2.8 Cantarella

Role & Mechanism

Cantarella is an Annihilation-attribute Rectifier sub-DPS, capable of fulfilling multiple roles, including sub-DPS output, healer with healing abilities, and providing high-chain support for the main DPS. Casting Intro Skill, Resonance Skill, and Resonance Liberation recovers Trance. When Trance is not depleted, performing Heavy Attack sends Cantarella into an enhanced status.

In Cantarella's enhanced status, hitting the target with Basic Attack recovers Shiver. When Shiver reaches 3 points, the enhanced Resonance Skill becomes available.

Cantarella is Phrolova's best Sub-DPS due to her kit having multiple Echo Skills that trigger Hecate's attacks.

Pull Recommendation

If you want to further boost Phrolova’s overall strength, pulling Cantarella is essential—she can significantly elevate your team’s performance.

However, if you’re working with a limited budget and do not have Phrolova, Cantarella is not recommended for now.

Pull Priority

Prioritize pulling the signature weapon first, then consider investing in the Resonance Chain.
