With the update of the Honkai: Star Rail 3.8 test server, many of you have probably learned quite a bit about the new character The Dahlia. But do you know where her story will take place?

In version 3.8 of Honkai: Star Rail, these two new maps have been discovered — they are called “Dream of Gnawing Oak” and “Burn Like My Heart.”

We’ll be returning once again to Penacony — to uncover the truth behind the legacy dispute and witness the true conclusion of this dreamlike planet.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at the latest map leaks!

| HSR 3.8 New Map Leak: Dream of Gnawing Oak-Oak Pavilion

From the map, we can see that the new area is located in the bottom-left corner, though it’s currently unknown how to access this region. Based on some features of the new area, I suspect we might be able to access this mysterious location from somewhere within the Dewlight Pavilion.

After teleporting to the new map, we find ourselves in a corridor covered with dark red vines, exuding an eerie and decayed atmosphere.

In the rooms at both ends of the corridor, players can interact to enter the Dreamspace, explore and challenge enemies, and obtain various rewards.

Returning to the space anchor and moving forward through two doors, you’ll reach a large chamber

At the center of this chamber hangs a massive heart, which I suspect will be an important story location.

If you head to the platform above the room, you’ll find an interaction prompt that triggers a cutscene.

Unfortunately, the test server hasn’t updated the text yet, so we don’t know what dialogue or events will occur there.

If you go back to the space anchor and take the opposite direction, you can interact with a dimly colored door to teleport to a new outdoor area, which is called Corroded Roots

Upon entering the outdoor map, the first thing you’ll see is a floating, glowing red seed.
When you approach it, an interaction button appears—but just like before, no text or clues are provided.

The outdoor environment is strange yet captivating, filled with crimson plants and dotted with glowing flowers, creating a dreamscape that’s both decayed and bloody.

It reminds me of the Scarlet Rot from Elden Ring—perhaps HoYoverse has hidden a related Easter egg in the story?

Moving forward through corridors entangled with blood-red vines, you’ll arrive at a spacious platform.

Here, you can admire a romantic yet dangerous red nebula swirling in the sky.

That’s all for this round of leaks! There haven’t been any leaks yet regarding the “Burn Like My Heart” map. If any information about this area surfaces, I’ll make sure to bring you the updates as soon as possible.

We still don’t know the full meaning behind these scenes, but I suspect version 3.8 will reveal the darker side of Penacony, bringing us a story filled with sorrow and helplessness.
