| HSR 3.8 Release Date

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.8 will release at December 17, 2025 and last for 42 days.

| HSR 3.8 Banner

The HSR 3.8 banner is scheduled to begin on December 17, 2025 with Phase 1, featuring The Dahlia, Firefly, Fugue, and Lingsha, and will run until January 6, 2026.

Phase 2 will take place from January 6 to January 27, 2026, featuring Rappa, Boothill, Yunli, and Ruan Mei.

The Dahlia

Combat Type: Fire / Path: The Nihility

HP: 1086.6 / ATK: 679.14 / DEF: 606.38 / SPD: 96 / Max Energy:130

The Dahlia will debut in HSR v3.8. She’s a powerful 5-star Fire Nihility character who serves as a Break support—the perfect teammate for Firefly.

The Dahlia can grant allies significant Break Effect and SPD boosts, restore Energy and Skill Points, and inflict Weakness as well as reduce enemy DEF.

Overall, if you’re running a Firefly Super Break team, The Dahlia is absolutely worth pulling—she’ll greatly enhance Firefly’s damage output and Ultimate uptime.

>Effect：

Increases the wearer's Break Effect by 60% / 75% / 90% / 105% / 120%. When entering combat, increases Break DMG dealt by the wearer and another teammate who triggered combat by 32% / 42% / 52% / 62% / 72%. If there is no teammate who triggered combat, applies this effect to the wearer and the teammate with the highest Break Effect. Effects of the same type cannot be stacked. When the wearer applies Weakness to an enemy target, recovers 1 Skill Point. This effect can only trigger once, and trigger count resets when using Ultimate.

>Team Comps

In the current Break team, the only character The Dahlia can realistically replace is Ruan Mei, since both share similar roles and buffs. However, The Dahlia performs better in Break teams. If The Dahlia replaces Ruan Mei, a “Full Fire Super Break Team” can be formed — this is expected to be the strongest Super Break team in HSR 3.8, allowing Firefly to crush enemies with ease.

| HSR 3.8 New Map - Dream of Gnawing Oak & Burn Like My Heart！

In version 3.8 of Honkai: Star Rail, these two new maps have been discovered — they are called “Dream of Gnawing Oak” and “Burn Like My Heart.”

We’ll be returning once again to Penacony — to uncover the truth behind the legacy dispute and witness the true conclusion of this dreamlike planet.

The test server files reference two new areas: Dream of Gnawing Oak and Burn Like My Heart. The former already has leaked screenshots and structural descriptions, while the latter is known only by name. As a result, current discussions naturally focus on Dream of Gnawing Oak.

According to the leaks, the map entrance lies in the lower-left section of the main area and may be accessed through the Dewlight Pavilion. The interior begins with a corridor overtaken by dark red vines, creating a sense of corruption and unease. At each end of the corridor are Dreamspace rooms where players can explore and engage in combat.

Deeper inside lies a large chamber featuring a massive heart-like core suspended at its center, along with an upper platform that can be interacted with—though no story content is available yet. The prominence of this structure strongly suggests a major role in the 3.8 main storyline.

>Outdoor Zone: Corroded Roots

The map extends into an outdoor zone called Corroded Roots, marked by crimson vegetation and warped, infestation-like growths that create a bleak, nightmarish environment. Shortly after entering, players can find a floating red luminous seed, though its function remains unknown. Farther ahead is a viewing platform where a swirling, dark red nebula dominates the sky—a striking and atmospheric visual highlight.

| HSR 3.8 New Boss

The new boss appears to be a SAM suit that has been overtaken by the Swarm. Its armor sports a dark metallic sheen accented with faint red highlights, and its frame shows unmistakable signs of Swarm mutation. A deep hollow cavity sits at the center of its chest. Overall, it resembles a corrupted, twisted version of Firefly’s SAM.

While the silhouette is clearly that of a SAM unit, it doesn’t seem to be Firefly’s own armor. A more plausible explanation is that it once belonged to one of her former Iron Cavalry comrades—AR-26710.

AR-26710 previously appeared in the official animated short The Embers of Glamoth (Firefly’s character short), which portrays Firefly fighting alongside her Iron Cavalry squad before joining the Stellaron Hunters.

In the animation, Firefly and several other SAM units are shown battling the Propagation Swarm on the front lines. During the clash, AR-26710 is impaled and critically injured by a Swarm King. They later remove their mask to trigger an explosion that destroys the creature. The damaged faceplate and the large chest wound shown in that scene bear a striking resemblance to the model of the leaked 3.8 boss.

This connection implies that AR-26710 may not have truly died in that battle. Instead, the Swarm King that impaled them might have converted them into a puppet of the Propagation. Although details about the leaked boss remain limited, it seems poised to become a significant turning point in Firefly’s storyline.
